about

OUR MISSION IS TO SUPPORT EDUCATION AND TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES IN MACHINING TECHNOLOGY TO INCREASE THE QUALITY AND SKILL LEVEL OF HUMAN RESOURCES EMPLOYABLE BY THE PRECISION MACHINED PRODUCTS INDUSTRY.

Celebrate 90 years of PMPA excellence by being a part of the “90 for 90” campaign. Make a tax-deductible contribution of $90, $270, $540, or other multiple. Every donation will help us achieve our goals and continue our legacy of positive impact.

In 1999, the PMPA Board of Trustees established the PMPA Education Foundation to
“ensure the future success of our industry by supporting educational research and related projects.”

The Foundation was funded by a very generous initial contribution. Today, total assets amount to around one million dollars ($1,000,000).
The foundation Board sponsors a fund-raising golf outing at the PMPA Annual Meeting.
The generous contributions of sponsors and players help increase funds available in support of various educational opportunities and information for
team members at PMPA member companies, for schools, and for future machinists.

The purpose of the Educational Foundation is to :

  • Distribute beneficial information about the precision machining industry.
  • Promote education, training, apprenticeships and scientific research primarily in the technologies of, and related to,
the precision machined products industry. This would be accomplished through awards, grants and endowments to fund,
among other undertakings, scholarships, teaching fellowships, faculty seminars, textbooks, teaching technologies, and
facilities in schools, colleges, universities and other such institutions.
  • Develop, refine and maintain curricula and teaching materials related to the precision machined products industry.
  • Develop and provide educational programs for the precision machined products industry.
  • Develop, refine and maintain information on the educational/training programs in the
precision machined products industry and available to it through other sources.

The PMPA Educational Foundation is a non-profit corporation in the State of Ohio for the purpose of ensuring
the future success of the precision machining industry by supporting training, workforce development, and related projects.
The PMPAEF has the is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a) of the IRS as an organization described in section 501(c)(3).
